My Wife Forced My Mother to Scrub the Floor, but She Didn't Know My Secret
Previously: When William returned early from his business trip, he expected a warm welcome. Instead, he found his wife humiliating an elderly woman on her knees—unaware of who she truly was.
A New Beginning
Scarlett fell to her knees, suddenly desperate.
"William, please, I didn't know!" she cried, reaching for his trousers. "I was just stressed! I would never have done that if I knew who she was!"William looked down at his wife, feeling nothing but pity.
"That is exactly the problem, Scarlett," he said quietly. "You only treat people with respect if you think they have power. My mother deserved dignity simply because she is a human being."
Without another word, William helped Beatrice to her feet. He looked at Luke.
"Pack her things," William ordered. "And pack yours too. We are leaving this house."
"But William, this is our home!" Scarlett screamed, tears of anger and fear streaming down her face.
"It was my home," William replied. "But my mother will never spend another second in a place where she is degraded. You can keep the house, Scarlett. The divorce papers will be delivered tomorrow."
William led Beatrice out of the mansion, guiding her to his car. Luke followed closely behind, carrying his mother's small suitcase. As they drove away from the estate, Beatrice looked at her son, her eyes shining with tears of relief rather than sadness.
"Thank you, my boy," Beatrice whispered, squeezing his hand.William smiled, feeling a weight lift from his shoulders. He had lost a wife, but he had saved his mother and reclaimed his family's honor. They relocated to a beautiful, quiet cottage by the lake, where Beatrice spent her days gardening and being loved. True wealth is not measured by the marble under your feet, but by the kindness in your heart and the family you protect.
The End
