My Wife Mistreated My Daughter Behind My Back Until My Hidden Camera Exposed Her
Previously: When Richard left his daughter Lily with his new wife Eleanor, he thought she was in safe hands. But a hidden security camera in the foyer revealed a heartbreaking truth.
The Confrontation
The heavy oak front door slammed open with a deafening crash, the sound echoing through the cavernous foyer. Eleanor spun around, her smug smile instantly evaporating into a mask of pure terror. The ceramic bowl slipped from her fingers, shattering on the marble floor and sending apple slices scattering in every direction.
Lily let out a gasp of relief and ran toward her father, burying her face in his brown suit jacket. Richard knelt down instantly, wrapping his arms around his daughter, holding her close as she trembled.
"I'm here, Lily. I'm right here. You're safe now,"he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
When Richard stood up, his eyes were locked on Eleanor. The fear on her face was quickly being replaced by a calculated, defensive expression. She took a step back, smoothing down her skirt, trying to regain her composure.
"Richard! You're home early," Eleanor stammered, forced warmth dripping from her voice. "It's really not what it looks like. Lily was being clumsy and spilled her juice. I was just trying to teach her a little responsibility. You know how important discipline is."
Richard didn't say a word. He simply reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He turned the screen toward her, playing the recorded video. The sound of Eleanor’s own voice saying, "Then cry quieter," filled the tense air of the foyer.
Eleanor's face drained of color.
"You... you put cameras in here?" she whispered, horrified.
"I did," Richard said, his voice cold and steady. "And I saw how you treat my daughter when you think I'm not looking. Pack your things and get out of my house."
But Eleanor’s fear suddenly turned into a sharp, venomous grin. She crossed her arms, looking at him with renewed confidence.
"You think you can just throw me out?" she sneered. "Remember our prenuptial agreement, Richard. If you divorce me, I get half of this house and a massive alimony. You'll ruin yourself trying to get rid of me."
”You'll ruin yourself trying to get rid of me."
