A Father Returns Home Early and Catches His New Wife Humiliating His Daughter
Previously: When Edward returned home early from a business trip, he expected a warm welcome. Instead, he found his daughter Sophia sobbing on her knees, forced to clean by his new wife, Diana.
A Father's Promise
A cold, grim smile touched Edward's lips. He pulled Sophia close to his side, wrapping a protective arm around her trembling shoulders. He looked directly into Diana's eyes, showing no fear, only absolute resolve.
"I believe my daughter," Edward said softly, yet his voice carried the weight of thunder. "And fortunately, I don't have to rely on just her word."
Diana frowned, a flicker of panic crossing her face. Edward pointed up toward the grand curved staircase, hidden behind a decorative crown molding.
"When I renovated this house last year, I installed a state-of-the-art security system," Edward explained calmly. "There are cameras in every main hallway, including this foyer. I can access the footage from my phone. I've already seen enough."
Diana’s face drained of all color. She took a step back, her hands trembling. She knew her lies were completely exposed. Before she could utter another word, Edward pulled out his phone and made two calls. The first was to his personal attorney, demanding immediate divorce papers. The second was to the local police department to report the unlawful confinement and abuse of his daughter.
"Get out of my house, Diana," Edward ordered, his voice unwavering. "My lawyers will handle the rest. You will leave with nothing but the clothes on your back."
Realizing she had lost everything, Diana gathered her green gown and fled through the double doors into the cold night, leaving her dreams of wealth behind. The heavy doors closed, shutting her out of their lives forever.
Edward turned to Sophia, his eyes filling with tears as he gently pulled her into a tight, warm hug. He kissed the top of her head, whispering words of apology and love. He promised her that she would never have to feel unsafe in her own home again.
True wealth is not measured by the size of a mansion, but by the love and protection we provide for the ones we cherish most.
