My Husband Stormed the Maternity Ward, But My Estranged Father Arrived Just in Time
A Nightmare in the Maternity Ward
The sterile smell of bleach and the rhythmic, hollow beeps of the heart monitor did nothing to soothe Clara’s racing heart. Clad in a simple blue hospital gown, she huddled in the hospital bed, her arms trembling as she held her newborn son close to her chest. Golden blonde hair fell over her tear-stained cheeks. She had just given birth, a moment that should have been filled with pure joy, but instead, it had transformed into her worst nightmare.
The heavy wooden door to her private room slammed open, and Julian marched in. Wearing a dark grey suit that contrasted sharply with the sterile white room, his dark brown hair was disheveled, and his eyes burned with a terrifying rage. He didn't look at the beautiful baby boy in Clara's arms; his focus was entirely on her. He marched to the side of the bed, raising his fists and punching the air aggressively over her head, his voice booming like thunder.
"Take that, you!" Julian roared, his face contorted in anger. "You thought you could ruin me? You thought you could hide him from me?"
Clara shrank back against the pillows, shielding her baby with her own body. Tears streamed down her face as she pleaded with him, her voice cracking with desperation.
"Please stop! Julian, please, he's just a baby! Don't do this here!" she wept.
A nurse in dark blue scrubs stood frozen near the medical cart, her eyes wide with shock, terrified to intervene. But before Julian could strike or grab the child, the door burst open once more. An older man with silver-grey hair, dressed in an elegant light grey suit, rushed into the room. It was Arthur, Clara's estranged father, whom she hadn't seen in nearly a decade. Arthur didn't hesitate. He lunged forward, grabbing Julian by the shoulders and shoving him away from the bed.
"Get away from her!" Arthur bellowed, his authoritative voice echoing through the ward.
Julian stumbled back, shocked by the sudden intervention. Arthur immediately turned his back on the younger man, leaning over Clara and the baby. His expression softened, and he gently stroked Clara’s blonde hair.
"It's okay, I've got you," Arthur whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
”Arthur whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
