Julian took a step forward, his hand reaching into his jacket. "She's my wife! She signs the papers, or I take this child and she'll never see him again!" he threatened, desperation making him reckless.

But Arthur simply smiled, a cold, triumphant expression. He pulled a folder from his own briefcase and tossed it onto the bedside table. "You won't be taking anyone, Julian. Inside that folder is a certified DNA test, along with a complete financial audit of your dummy corporations. And behind that door are two police officers."

As if on cue, the hospital doors swung open, and two uniform officers entered, accompanied by the terrified nurse. Julian turned pale, his bravado instantly vanishing. He looked at the folder, then at the officers, realizing his web of lies had completely unraveled. Within moments, he was handcuffed and led away, shouting empty threats that faded down the quiet hospital corridor.

The silence that followed was heavy but peaceful. Clara let out a sob of pure relief, holding her baby close. Arthur sat on the edge of the bed, his eyes filled with tears as he looked at his daughter for the first time in ten years.

"I am so sorry, Clara," Arthur whispered, his voice trembling. "I let him convince me you wanted nothing to do with me. I should have fought harder to see you."

Clara shook her head, reaching out to take her father's hand. "You're here now. That's all that matters. Please, meet your grandson."

As Arthur gently cradled the newborn, a warm smile broke through his tears. For the first time in years, Clara felt safe. She realized that family isn't defined by the years lost, but by the love and strength found when we stand up to protect those who matter most.
